Come on, why does this story have to be so illogical?
I really like the female lead’s dead face and attitude, the art is really nice too. But…
A noble kicking his own children out – basically disowning them – without any reason at all? Even though his son Lou is managing all the affairs of the estate (so who’s going to take over this work without being told what’s what?)? How crazy is that? Don’t people have laws in this world at all except for this one weird “declaration of legitimate rights”?
Also: what about the poisoning? Why did our female lead not speak up and collect evidence in order to protect her brother? She might have powers now that protect her from poison, but he doesn’t.
Neither does everyone else who’s on their side (like servants and vassals, etc.), so they are in constant danger too after Barbara got away with successfully poisoning at least on person (the mother)….
