She doesn’t have to stick to the original story here, because the character never appeared in the original story.
Even if the lady showed up in the bride competition (she was a candidate before) instead of being assassinated before it or something, why would the novel waste any words talking about an extra who would never be seen again? She was forced into her roles as hero and villainess, but she put effort into being a farmer and dressmaker because she likes larping or something? idk she said she enjoyed having a purpose while living.
Yeah, so much for the female lead’s claim that she’s always playing her roles to the letter and having the original story forced on her…
And we still haven’t heard anything at all about her first love – she obviously doesn’t miss him in the slightest anymore (did she find out he was a cheater or something?), but she also didn’t fall for the male lead in her first life.
However in the second she claimed she “had” to be the one to love the male lead – but she didn’t actually feel anything for him, right? Because she seemingly still doesn’t right now.
People cannot just switch their feelings on and off on command!
