Also: if there really was a contract-partner of the male lead before he fell in love with the female lead, how come that our heroine doesn’t know this women’s name at all, despite having been the female lead herself and so many other roles after that? And how could that name not have been mentioned in the book either?
The contract partner was apparently discarded as soon as the competition started because ML fell in love with OG FL at first sight. If the book was in FL’s PoV, which it likely was, she’d only know of the contract from the ML telling her after the fact. I can imagine he left out the name of the woman when talking about it with her. It wasn’t relevant and it also shows FL/readers that he only thinks of her as his partner now
