Totally agree with @Red225 – the female lead is an exceptional fighter (does she actually train in order to build muscles while only pretending to slack, or is it magic?), she could simply maim her “father” in his sleep 😛
Also Lou has a guild on his hand as well as money – while the evil stepmom seemingly sent 2 assassins (those guys the female lead fought in the garden, and lifted one of the two in the air with just one arm), why couldn’t Lou just do the same to that concubine at least after his mother had been murdered by her?
If your father is trying to poison your brother, there is no need to hesitate. Just have him vanish one day while out with his knights. A plucky bandit attack would deal with the issue.
Then all you need to do is convince the vassals and then boot the concubine out.
If you don’t want him dead, then just put him in a coma for two weeks with poison and frame the concubine, have her exiled and take over from there. You absolutely don’t need to go through all this nonsense. Come on, you’re a powerful FL with many skills. You don’t need to take such a convoluted route to take over.
The longer the duke is actively against you, the more you won’t get to keep the power you have.
If not, just get evidence your father is trying to murder your sibling if it needs to go to court.

I’m more interested in their family drama than these men, can Rose and Lou get back to destroying that woman and that trashcan calling himself their father???
