was not much info on why he stole the contract…..but probably either the 1st or 3rd point i made earlier…..(personal bet given all nitbits i think its the 1st as if that resurfaces he done for socially)
I agree. How he is treating her now does NOT change the earlier harassment and mistreatment of her. Plus the earlier POISONING ATTEMPT where the culprit was never caught.
If past treatment of someone didn’t matter, that’s like saying you should forgive a cheater if they promise to ‘never do it again’. Even if they’re being genuine, you have the right to get break off the relationship for your own mental health.
(And people get re-married after divorcing, and some are much better for getting the divorce initially in order to grow and prove in a much more controlled situation they’ve changed instead of this controlling behavior and stealing her documents right here. That means that, if he disagrees or the workers disagree, they can just ‘do whatever they want’ to the FL or anyone else cause they’re ‘in the right’ or ‘it was for love’. F*ck that)

just gonna say MINOR SPOILERS these might get touched upon but most got no big impact anyway

1st off……the marriage between the duke and OG estelle was a set condition by former duke as claude legitimacy was in question…..so was part greed for her money and part to establish his social standing
.
2nd…..The garden this plays a very minor part in the trial to show the duke dont trust estelle as he forbade her from entering for the entire marriage only to change it after divorce came up…(garden was claudes sister who OG estelle harrased)

3rd…..its just the generic ooh my villainess wife changed she entrigues me now wether he truelly fell in love is up for personal interpretation

4th…..OG estelle was harrased by the servants for a year and duke did the minimal of damage control at first….(major overhaul after change transmigration)…..most these topics just get brushed off due to witnesses are just peasants/ commoners

5th……this will be a KEY one and bigger SPOILER…..OG estelle being poisoned and transmigrater taking over…….this happend within the house and played like a inside job and they never caught the culprit…..so in a heavily gaurded house the duchess gets poisoned and nothing comes from it….there are small hints here and there the butler is the culprit and the duke knows it
I don’t agree with the comment below. I mean duke didn’t show that he loves her at all durning their marriage. Without any explanation of his actions, he just changed his whole behaviour, and now he is deeply in love? It would be confusing to me, you can’t just erease the past with few kind words. And that moment when he stole the agreement from fl safe? Pure selfishness.
Estelle is soooo stupid why do she keep thinking of his old expression when he sees the new one?? should he climb at the top of the mountain & scream his love for her??? she’s really stupid? if he dislike you that much, he is perfect ML, doesn’t seem petty then what is stopping his from divorcing you? lack of braincells geez I’m glad FL have braincells but there are loop holes for her, but she’s not the usual braindead so I’m glad.
