I dropped this story like twice and I think I might be dropping it a third time after reading all 42.5 chapters.
The ML is shit, but I can sort of understand his actions. I too would feel desperate and confused if my lover decided to leave one day without any explanation. Though that doesn’t excuse what he says or does, so don’t get me wrong.
But the fl….oh boy….i don’t want to sound mean but she must have rocks for brains. She believes an ASSASSIN over the man she loved and dated? clearly there wasn’t any trust there to begin with.
And after coming back, she doesn’t stop to think “hmm, maybe i should try to find out the truth” but in order for her to use her brain to come to that conclusion, you must wait 40+ chapters.

Her 5 year old son is smarter and more understanding than her at times.
And for the antagonist, who is the queen, her motives are just so childish. She acts like a child who throws a fit when she doesn’t get what she wants. And at times, villains like that can work as long as they’re written properly. However, i feel more threatened by a butterfly than her every time she comes on screen. It just doesn’t work.
At least make her a tyrant who actively blackmails and kills people, therefore we can feel the threat and it’s not as if she’s some empty shell of a character who was only created to drive the plot.
Patrick, the main leads son, is the cutest and we must protect him at all costs.
As for the storytelling, it is a little clumsy and it feels like the misunderstanding is being dragged on for so long simply because the author can’t find anything else to include in their story.
If you like pointless drama, dimwitted and meek fl’s, a somewhat powerless yet overly obsessive ml, and kids with no personality who are thrown into the plot for the sake of uniting the two main leads, then I am glad to inform you that this story is for you!
In short, I don’t hate this story nor its author and I am sure everyone worked hard in creating this so props to them.
I personally think I’m going to drop this for good, since it does nothing but make my blood boil. If you like it, i hope you have a wonderful time and send me a reply if it improves and i might give it a fourth chance 🙂
