It was quite clear to me the queen wasn’t behind the murder attempt. The reason is they said the queen met him when he was looking for his wife so after she disappeared then she waiting until the time until they could declear her dead officially so she wouldn’t have had a reason or opportunity to do anything. Anyways I kinda felt like she might have been a it to attached to her brother from the last chapter. She obviously has some very unhealthy delusions here. But I have no idea what she thought marrying her off would fix. Even if she didn’t know this girl is obviously a lunatic. She attempted murder how far away are you marrying her off that you think that will fix it.
Oh now I get it. She fell in love with her own brother. From the beginning,I believe that the queen is not the perpetrator – the queen may be selfish and act childish but as a queen she can use her authority and accuse May of a crime she didn’t commit.
