I bet when someone was trying to kill her 5 year ago, the killer probably said that it was the duke who ordered them to kill her. So now everything’s misunderstood.
i just looked up more spoilers on novelupdates and it’ll really explain a little for anyone who doesn’t understand, although there are a few things missing. But, the comments i saw on there said the misunderstandings get worse and the female lead is idiotic. Like only one person seemed to agree with her actions.
I will explain what i read so SPOILER ALERT (only read if you are okay with spoilers)
After the assassin told her that it was her husband who tried to kill her, she didn’t believe it at first until a random misunderstanding (surprising? i think not). ML is still a bit creepy in the novel, yet he’s not a suspicious person. And the lack of communication and misunderstandings last for about 50-70 chapters according to the novel (which is a lot if you ask me). I know like two other spoilers but they aren’t that important, if you wanna know then look on novelupdates.
This isn’t much of a big spoiler but if you’re debating on whether to read it or not then im sure this will be enough for you, hopefully. There wasn’t that many comments and most of them were asking for spoilers sooo….i dont know anything other than what i understood.

However, from a spoiler I read (it’s literally in the comment section of the info page so correct me if im wrong), the assassin who tried to kill her told her that it was her husband who sent her. Now, if that’s true, why the hell didn’t she ask him? Like you’re really going to listen to the person who was sent to kill you? Maybe she was just scared and didn’t ask him yet i feel the reasonable option would be to either look into it or question him, instead of assuming based on a single sentence that can be a lie. Idk she seems a little foolish but i don’t want to judge too much since its only the 3rd chapter.
It the author prolongs the misunderstandings to the point it gets hard to continue or the fl gets too stupid or the ml becomes creepy then im probably gonna drop

I actually looked up some spoilers and this story isn’t for me and right now with Teenmanhua translating, I can’t even understand what’s happening. Good luck to those of you who stick it out.
