I was thinking that because he (probably) time-travelled to save her, he did it to prevent a greater tragedy (ex: Yuli becomes a knight and dies on the battlefield).

Is Aquilla aware of the whole plot?
He seems to be too soft and introverted to react accordingly even if he does know about it.
He kinda looks like the type of person who prefers to stay silent and take all the blame alone if he truly cares about that person.
