Yeah, the appeal of these sorts of stories is that he’s supposed to represent the reader (dumb, weak, kind of pathetic) and it becomes a power fantasy (strong, respected, girls hanging off you).
but when you don’t fit the demographic of the MC… It just becomes, “jeez why can’t we just follow someone interesting with their seal, huh?”
