I don’t think he did that because he doesn’t want to acknowledge her. There’s also a possibility that he did it to protect her. We aren’t sure yet if her brother’s death was an accident or caused by a scheme to attack their family. If there is no longer an heir to the family, many people could target them and challenge her daughter’s legitimacy to the title. Her daughter will struggle more, and once he (the father) is no longer there, she won’t be able to protect herself when the former king decides to take away the power.
