@AArtsy I’m thinking the saintess won’t really be a focus of the story. The princess is clearly fl and they’ve put so much effort into establishing her as someone who fights tooth and nail to survive. Replacing her with the saintess would undermine all this character building.
Also, Xena? I hope she can live up to the flawlessness that is Lucy Lawless

As expected the CP is a shrewd politician, the cruel puppet-master even his father the emperor fears.
And the princess, her suspicious illness, even how she is tired of struggling in vain…everything so far was predictable.
I’m still waiting to see how the saintess will end up….
