The translation is bad so the conversations aren’t very clear. However whats for certain here is that there really were a succession war, and due to her weakened body the CP has spared her. Even the employers doesn’t look that much enthusiastic about working in her palace. Yet, the CP doesn’t leave her alone and is probably looking for a way to get rid of her slowly and silently, like poisoning her little by little. Her weakness could be due to poisoning as well.
She could also be pretending to be weak in order to make the CP let his guard down and stop threatening his life.
I’m not yet sure though…
Whatever the case, if it really is a plot in which the priestess’s soul would possess the princess then the stage is all set. She is sick of her life and is already weakened to this stage. She could really die and the priestess’s soul could replace her.
