Re-read the first and second chapters if you need to people, In the original novel, Eris gets the death penalty for killing Helena out of jealousy. The only way for her to exit the story is to see its conclusion for her role she must play. That means she can’t live in the world peacefully so she’s seeing her role through to the end so that she may go back to her own world.
…we literally just saw her being conflicted about murder a couple chapters back. It’s not even by her own will! She has to follow the world’s fate whether she wants to go back home or not remember? The world won’t let her die or runaway both of which she already tried numerous times. The character “Erin” can never be happy. Who in their right mind would stay? Are you daft?

She has resigned herself that that world is just a story and nothing else except for anakin. She doesnt need that guilt.. she deseves to leave that place in peace. She definitely does not deserve to be trapped in that shitty world.
