You’re right, at the very least, Soveinshu knew what he was doing— it was all wrong on his part against Navier but at least he devised a plan all by himself for Rashta and his unborn child. He knew what he was doing and was confident in carrying the plan out.
The prince on the other hand barely knows what’s going on in the palace and is too scared to stand up against his father. He practically leaves all the planning to his mother while skipping in the gardens with Helena🤬

And he may have pushed her behind him but her legs aren’t broken she could have walked near or over to Eris and stood up for her, she did it for a maid against Eris so what’s the problem now? All she can do is stand beside that garbage and look over at Eris like some pitiful helpless animal not a human with a brain.
But I want to believe Helena is staying behind the prince looking confused because they’re talking about something important she doesn’t understand and not because she’s wondering why he’s bringing up reasons the engagement can’t be called off instead of just accepting it happily.
