She’s basically a shut-in and rarely attends social events because she’s not allowed. She has no powerful friends or any power of her own. If she wants a divorce she’ll have to consult with the emperor or some ignorant priest and exactly how is she gonna get there in the first place? No one in that place answers to her, as seen on the day of her wedding. Plus, as seen with the mom, divorce would bring great shame upon her family. Rather than trying everything to escape, she’s tried to endure it like her mother built into her from when she was a child. You’re the worst if you start blaming the female lead whose been abused and is the victim.
