Is trauma some huge mystery to some? I am legitimately asking because I have seen too many comments calling characters weak who are clearly suffering from trauma. It’s actually becoming very concerning. There are many symptoms of trauma that will seem inexplicable to those who don’t understand it. Stuttering and being unable to voice your thoughts, emotions, etc happens a LOT in trauma victims. I know because I suffered a LOT during my childhood (diagnosed with PTSD) and one such trauma response is when I am under stress, extreme fear and anxiety I struggle to speak. No, I don’t stutter. I CANNOT SPEAK! I want to and know I should but I CAN’T. No matter what is said to me, no matter if the person realizes that something is wrong and tries to be gentle… I DON’T AND CANNOT TALK! That’s a response to the trauma I suffered from most of my childhood and for you people to call her weak for STUTTERING after being straight up beaten for SPEAKING… ugh… I hope you never will know what that’s like. And another thing, the ML is not a bad dragon-born (dragons who can become human), in case you skipped, he actually didn’t kidnap her.. she was GIVEN to him to prevent him from rightfully killing that wench’s brat after he desecrated the burial grounds of the dragon people! He accepted her because she had the same eyes as the child that healed him years ago. This is getting ridiculous! If he had truly kidnapped her fine… he sucks. But she was given to him as his bride by her abusive stepmother. Want to be angry at someone? She’s the right person. If he hadn’t accepted… she’d be dead too. End of story and no, he would not have let her live. Originally, he had not seen her eyes… she wasn’t looking directly at him til the stepmother practically threw her at him.
Even though some reader may not like her but I love this type of MC, she’s clever and smart and brave she tried saving herself by running away , what I hate are those kind of noisy and so called naive FL that act cute as a grown up
