If you rlly think about it if Maria knew Elias uncle and they were childhood friends dosent that mean she’s almost as old as the emperor because the duke is the emperors brother sooooooooooo aren’t the old? I’m not saying it’s a bad thing I just thought abt it and want others opinion

I know we are all like “GIRL JUST SAY NO!” but we also have to remember that Maria’s memories of her childhood friend muddled her own thinking and feelings making it hard for her to say ‘no’. She also only agreed because she thought it would be easier for Elias if she pretended to be on Dietrich’s side. It turned out to be the opposite but she didn’t think of that.
