did she really skim over the fact that everything she stated as irrefutable evidence for the princess’ toddler act was what is considered the “average, healthy” toddler? most toddlers can form sentences by the time their six, although very primitive and limited to their surroundings and emotions. however, she cannot just disregard the possibility the princess being born or developing a developmental disorder. the princess may have been born with something that affects her development of speech.

i get it; the idea of is fresh and never been done. yet, it’s been poorly executed and seems to reflect a lack of respect and understanding towards children who do have or later develop developmental problems. she’s supposedly been studying early childhood education in modern korea which means the information we have on child development is more well-researched and evidence-based. usually, one would be taught to think of all the possibilities and not just the comparison to what a “normal” child would be like.

sorry for ranting, but i’d like to avoid someone being possibly misled by the manhwa since… it’s just a manhwa for entertainment. there’s nothing wrong with the princess if she has a language issue that may have delayed or possibly inhibited her development of language. it just seems like it’s pushing the agenda the opposite way, so i got a little too passionate haha

oki so i actually rlly like the concept they were aiming for with this reveal but the execution rlly missed the mark for me :/
so i ACTUALLY work in child care and have the relevant degrees (not just a first year uni student that died, i have the degree and the years of experience) and while i do think it would be possible to recognize an adult acting like a child with that knowledge, the shit she pointed out was just…… not it??? there are lots of reasons for a child, specifically one enduring a situation of neglect, to be inconsistently verbal :/ the much more logical explanation isnt that she’s reincarnated sigh
anyway, i like the IDEA they were trying to express but it rlly feels like the author just kinda read a wiki article on early childhood development and thought that was enough to depict an ‘expert’ siighh
then again, Jaeyeon is already established to be a bit naive and overly confident that she’s right with minimal evidence, so while it was a poor job depicting an ‘expert’, it was plenty in character for her personality so the writing isnt actually incompetent and its still quite interesting

    PWAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!
    That was refreshing!
    .
Well, I still don’t know whether the ‘demon story’ is just a made-up one due to her mother’s death and father’s maddness or is actually true.
The title says otherwise, so maybe she really is a reincarnater!?
