that’s a 19 year old? pull the other one babe. see this shit is part of why i think antis keep getting footholds. any normal person would see that character design and assume he’s a full decade older, and you see that in a lot of art styles. hell, you see it on live action television where high schoolers are played by people a full decade older. seeing somebody ACTUALLY age 16-17 in an intimate relationship would make people uncomfortable, but it’s impossible to feel the same way about a drawing or casting that makes everyone look so much older. simply telling me that’s a teenager isn’t going to make my brain believe that’s a teenager. there’s a hard limit on how far suspension of disbelief can go here
