She thinks he likes her just because she was there at the right time, but she likes him because of who he is as a person. He’s never told her why he likes her, and its well known that Archmages don’t express emotions the same way others do. To her, it is very painful to be in love with him and to know that he probably doesn’t love her the same way. She would rather be with someone she doesn’t love so that she no longer has to be in that type of pain.
