dropped this a long time ago cos she was dumb and incapable of being objective and kept suspecting ML or more accurately framing ML in her mind. I saw it was already 50-something chapters so I clicked this one to see if she got smarter but nah it was a correct decision to drop this and she’s still dumb
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t want to speak ill of her or call her stupid.
I realize that she suspects him. I also realize that the Duke’s statements come across as suspicious. After all, words and statements carry great power. I understand.
However, she shouldn’t base her opinion and draw conclusions solely on the Duke’s words. Of course, he would have had one motive or another for doing this. The murder and thus his revenge for his father. Or the fact that he didn’t want to marry her in the beginning. However, the last point has changed and is therefore no longer applicable. Furthermore, she doesn’t even know what the relationship between father and son was like. Of course, the Duke could have killed her to retain his rights to the mines in the end.
She should also consider the time of death. Accordingly, she should also consider whether the Duke could actually have been the perpetrator at that time, and she doesn’t. That’s what really bothers me personally. She’s approaching the matter rationally, no question. But in my opinion, she also lacks logical thinking. The connection with another victim was or is a motive in her eyes, because it concerns him. Of course, I would also find it suspicious, especially because it seems like it would suit the Duke. As I said, she doesn’t consider the time of the murderer’s death, and whether the Duke really had anything to do with this murder or not is an alibi.
She has to think outside the box and thus first prove whether the Duke is really the murderer based on this point in time. She also knows why the cook (the third or fourth victim) had an argument with the Duke. The thing about the mining rights (can be taken as a motive), but that would still have to be the only motive why he wants to kill her. Because of the mining rights.
He also said that Charlotte is more important to him than anything else. In other words, this victim and thus the connection to him can be removed. Moreover, she spent a lot of time with him. Of course, a person can pretend, but she played her cards right the whole time by speaking her mind openly and honestly. And she takes those words too seriously, misunderstands them, and puts them in the wrong light.
She’s a clever and therefore intelligent woman. However, I don’t know if the author did it intentionally, precisely to create so many misunderstandings, or if she simply didn’t take it into account. The story is good, no question. I like her too. As I said, I don’t want to speak ill of the main character, but I just wanted to give my honest opinion that she doesn’t consider all the things one should consider in a case. It comes across as if she only did her job half-heartedly and came to her conclusion based on the facts she had. It may have worked in her world, that she was right, but that won’t always be the case. And that’s the case here.
Girl! Wake up! Youre wrong! He is innocent. He hate the scence of blood. He wasnt in the military. He is a normal Person. And that with his Father is an other Story!
He care for you and you are an idiot! Dont break his innocent heart. He is a jealous Man, i get it. BUT he would never kill a Person. Its that damn Killian, who killed all those People.
Let let this poor man talk to you. Pls i beg you. Open youre eyes and think. Think carefully.
I get why u r defending Adler but these reasons have nothing to do with FL’s rationale. What does it matter if ML fears blood when the victims were poisoned? That doesn’t involve a drop of blood. And you don’t need to be in the military to plan and execute hits on specific targets, especially when it relies on harmful substances. Like??? If these are your only arguments FL is right to be suspicious of him, he has the means, the timing coincides and now they know he even has a strong motivation to pull it. She’s not being stupid, it’s actually very clearly this is rational thinking (despite her being emotional about her suspicion).

The fl is so dumb and pathetic. Fucking idiot. 50+ chapters and she still suspects the Duke not his cunning mother
Saphirich
She actually suspect the wrong Adler, the duke Adler mom is definitely the culprit
