I agree fl should know that her tinkering might change the plot to some extent but I think another fact that cause her to be reluctant is her ex-fiance (hear me out). His rejection and how everyone compares Emily’s looks to her’s. She strongly believes that Cedric’s type is blonde with green eyes.
One think in all of this stories is that FL always want to change the future because she die or something happened, so they change all her personality and acts. Why they don’t think that will change all the future??? Girl, accept that! He’s in love with you and you are in love with hi. Just stay together please
Gosh, I feel bad for these two. Unavoidable fate seems like a curse, but I also wonder why she doesn’t think she can change the story when she already married the ML instead of her sister. I think she’s afraid and maybe has low self esteem…she doesn’t want to be hurt.
Why does she keep on comparing herself to the OG Dylan when they’re both completely different persons?
He didn’t marry her sis so Guy won’t fall in love with OG FL so when will she stop worrying about things she’s already changed?
And she’s so wishy washy with the ML that’s its annoying. If you’re gonna distance yourself, be firm with it. Stop giving him hope.
Used to love this so much but FL is so obsessed with her over thinking that I’m spending more time annoyed than enjoying this. Why won’t she just live in the present that’s happening around her instead of going back and forth.
Still hope this doesn’t get dropped tho. I want and arc where the ML distances himself from her so she knows how it feels to be be pulled in just to be pushed back again
I think it’s inevitable given that she’s an outlier who happened to pop up in one of the antagonist’s bodies. It’s a weird, mystical situation, so of course she’s going to act weird herself, not knowing what to do. I get that it’s frustrating for us readers, because we know, from the omniscient perspective, that things have changed. But she doesn’t, because she’s living in it herself and going day by day working off the knowledge from the previous or “original” world. So in her own way, there’s no telling *what* will happen, if things will go back to how it “should have been,” like she’ll start to feel how the OG Dylan used to, or if the world is truly hers now and she directs the course of things. I think anyone with sense like the FL would be overthinking to prepare themselves for the absolute worst – which in her case, is the world going back to how it used to be. “Just living in the present” feels like an idealistic sentiment without any empathy for a character who’s *supposed* to be thrown off by everything in this story
