this story is awful & I was about to drop it but I still managed to read it till the end. To sum it all up: The illegitimate prince is verily the epitome of debauchery, he sees himself inferior & is a drug addict. Even after marrying Ingrid he still does not abandon his self-indulgence – although she told him he did not have to give up on his immoral ways – nevertheless he humiliates her at various occasions & she still endures it all. Merely because she wants to avoid getting married to the so-called “evil” King who turns out to be a nice person & seems to care about her. However she stays by her husband’s side. Later on the prince wants to become a better person for Ingrid & let go of his addiction – however the first attempt fails & he relapses. She gets pregnant to the end of the story but loses her child & this was the final straw for her family & they want her to get a divorce. She refuses – he goes to rehab again & they stay apart for like 6 months. He comes back, this time clean & apologizes to her & her family. They get back together & live happily with their child.
So… not only the prince but all the men in her family are terrible & mistreat her. Her father might be the worst of them all bc the FL fell in love with her piano teacher & once her father finds out – he beats the teacher to a pulp – in front of his daughter’s eyes.
I would absolutely not recommend this story.

Not my cup of tea , the ML is such a whore, he’s kinda disgusting imo, I can’t stomach him. Even if he redeems himself in the end, his earlier way of life made me unable to favor him. And specially when the FL is so naive and innocent, with a super sheltered life. She doesn’t deserve having to carry such heavy baggage from his past lifestyle
Maybe other people can move on from that, if it was a irl person I could probably too, but I wanna read about good MLs that aren’t trash malewhores… But a positive point is that tl seems good
