it’s nice enough: the art is nice, the translation is good, the story is okay, but there is one thing that is present throughout to the point of being so on the face it’s exasperating: the author of this story is weirdly obsessed with making bullies the good guy, the friend-to-be. it’s odd to the point of being bothersome, to the point of being questionable. 2 of the 3 friends ML has were his bullies (blood haired guy almost fucking killed him and pink haired cruel girlie literally watched him being beat up and then almost strip naked by her own fucking suggestion. neither of them apologized. the girlie even continued to humiliate him in school, but anyway) yet they suffer no real consequence for it, nor do they care enough to reflect upon it or even apologize. things just move on with ML ignoring that ever happened to him or whatever, it’s bizarre. then there are plenty other side characters bully that don’t bear that much importance, but even them are forgiven for bullshit “reasons”, even though it makes no sense whatsoever to do so. they aren’t even properly punished by the institution they are a part of (the academy) even though they not only violated the rules, but actively put the lives and minds of their colleagues at risk and for the prettiest of reasons at that, only to suffer nezt to no consequences for their actions. this happened twice up to chapter 50. idk how else to call this but stupid writing. does doing wrong bear no consequences in their mind as long as no one is actually dead? or what? it’s beyond me what logic they are following. so. read at your own risk. it’d be a fine story if this recurrent and extremely unnecessary situations didn’t happen every few chapters. I wouldn’t recommend it, and I’ve dropped it already.
