So, is the actual story that duke raped the maid, maid run away, then returned with baby, so duke killed the maid and made up the drugs/hallucinations thing to cover up his shit, but duchess didn’t buy it?
The duchess was so nice. She spared the child and even asked the duke to take care of them altogether. The duchess, rosetta and elicia suffered the most in this set up. The duke and the eldest son never abused rosetta, it’s a good start i guess… tho both daughters were neglected ;;
Its never easy for mothers to accept illegitimate children but the duchess was truly kind and loving to all of them.
Till the very end she included Rosetta as part of the family.👏😭
