Okay like I get it, you need an obstacle in the narrative. But a nanny beating a noble woman?even if she is the “nanny” there are limits. I feel like authors choose nobility/royalty as a fancy setting/theme, without thinking of the implications. They need a bad guy/bully character that mildly beats up the protag, in any other setting it’d be a school bully. But the author chose the default “nondescript European nobility” skin overlay. It’s not a genre so much as a color palette choose for these artists/writers.
I am so reckless…. bc if I had the strength I’d have gotten up, calmly walked over that nanny and punched her in the face, if she went down, let the kicking begin, if not punch again. I certainly would have been beaten more severely later but I’d put the fear of god into that nanny and she wouldn’t bully me are my sister again
@Loqe01 She knows literally nothing of the situation/world she’s found herself in. Plus she’s in the body of a young noble woman who just recovered from fainting (physically weak)
The first thing you do when put into a strange place like this is not immediately throw hands. Maybe the nanny has political influence. Maybe it’s so out of character they’ll think her insane or possessed. Maybe it’ll scare the sister so much it ruins their relationship in the future.
The best thing to do is to observe and gain knowledge/skill/power/influence.
