Claude, no really all the kids in this story, are a breath of fresh air. They are children, not super geniuses, poised for the aristocratic society, with no emotions. Claude not only wants his father’s approval but loves him unconditionally despite feeling neglected. Alot of these kids in these manwhas with children just feel so one dimensional but for some reason these feel like real growing children who aren’t perfectly sweet, perfectly smart, exceptionally evil, just plain old children. I love that and I love that nanny allows him to be that, just a child not a young duke.
