Here’s something that doesn’t make sense to me: When the father is the head of the family, the one of the bloodline, and he has an affair and has an illegitimate child, everyone is surprised if that child inherits the family’s special quirk. I don’t get why. It’s not like the power cares whether its master is the child of the lawful wife. The power or god or whatever makes the choice doesn’t care about that kind of thing. All that matters is if that person has the blood of the family. Legitimate or not, they are still a child with the family’s bloodline. The only time it should really be shocking is when the power chooses someone not connected to the bloodline at all
