I agree Viat is smart and composed but it is weird the amount of love she is getting. Viat is a true villianess, she hates the FL for existing, is manipulative, and homicidal, if she were a man I’m sure every time she showed up she would get booed. She is no “Aria” who was fighting for her life and against injustice, just because she is a smart woman does not make her a likable character. Herna is getting way more hate for her supposed inaction when she’s just trying to survive 1. and stop the people who murdered her 2. This is not an isekai Herna didn’t come from a modern world to this world, she was raised sheltered and unassuming why would she just have knowledge that wasn’t taught to her. She’s learning as she goes and clearly her naivety doesn’t disappear just because she wants, she is naturally a kind and good person and is doing her best in my opinion. Aria from villianess who turns the hourglass is closer to Herna with their goal but resembles Viat with personality because Aria was raised as an aristocrat from the time she entered her stepfamilies house, she knew the outside world, she partied, got waited on and even had relationships with men. Although Aria wasn’t “truly” aristocratic she was never naive or innocent which is why she reacts like Viat but Viat should not be commended for actions as she’s just power hungry and insecure. Anyways Herna is learning and Viat is a good villian so I’m looking forward to their battle of wits.
Please, don’t say that viat is like aria because aria was a illegitimate child who get revenge. Viat os just revenge for nothing just because Herna react for her on title.

Viat killed her own flesh and blood and treated her like a slave, humiliated her to hell and back, KILLED HERNA, stole her title (Herna is the one chosen for the Guardian Stone, not Viat but in the 1st life she stole that from Herna) just for being an illegitimate child …. and y’all are praising her and simping for her …. oh hell naw y’all cannot be serious
Oh my fking God, thank you! For once, somebody isn’t acting like just cuz Viat is more cunning than Herna,that everything she’s doing is justifiable. Like all these people are too blind to see the difference between where Herna stands and Viat’s standing. I already ranted about how they were brought up differently which affected the way they acted overall, so I won’t get into that too much. For Herna to suddenly become manipulative like Viat just because she went back in time wouldn’t make sense and is put of character so people gotta stop comparing Herna to Viat. It’s like comparing pokemon to digimon.
Viat is written very well, obviously, she’ll break her loving sister act but it’s not one unexpected scene 20 chapters in and she soils herself , and then she’s put to the kerb in a prison never to be seen again other than that one little part in a chapter where she’s been banished by the mother so she can save her own skin
Viat is such a well written villainess. It’s so good that she’s not dumb or noisy like it often happens with antagonists in Isekai. Tbh the way Viat keeps her composure reminds me of Aria from Hourglass. Their vibe is very similar.
It’d be nice if Viat suddenly had a change of heart or she also reincarnated back and decided not to be evil to her sister. That hasn’t happened yet in an isekai
