Yes. I do agree that the FL should have acted and not just stood still. I mean she already knew that her half sister was already planning to mind condition everyone into thinking that the FL was beloved. She should have at least use that spill wine incident as an opportunity to cut off that b*tch to her big sister side. Or made people think twice before acting like that to her. It doesn’t have to be aggressive.
Like, dude make yourself magnanimous and forgiving to the point of being innocently idiot. So, I’m conflicted and don’t know what to say.” making people think that your weak and unable to defend yourself but at the same time give people different speculations and impressions. First, b*tch disrespect your sister more that she disrespect you. Second, b*tch did that (intentionally) because of her adoration to your big sister. Third, the big sister can’t even control her followers action.
The smart big sister will once again be suspicious but if that happen then act childish and tell her, “I trust you I know you can protect me right? You’ll be on my side right?” like your anxious and seeking for that loved but in actuality you don’t.
But, I get the point— less talk less mistake. It is just… you can’t blame the people for not liking the main character who just go with the flow and act like a damsel in destress waiting for the knight and shining armor. If you asked me which you don’t. I prefer an MC that will go berserk and body slam that b*tch of a lady.

Dunno why people call her a weak FL. She literally has Viatte in the palm of her hand. Viatte has been doing exactly what Herna wants her to do lmao. Herna’s playing Viatte and her mom like a violin. Herna’s manipulating them into doing exactly what Herna needs them to do and neither of them are none the wiser. Just ’cause Herna’s not slapping maids around doesn’t mean she is weak ?♀️
Truthfully I like Viat much more than MC.
Herna can’t understand her own emotions nor control them. She does have a right to suspect everyone around her but she’s incapable of judging others character with a cool head. Only when she gets slapped numerous times with reality she starts to understand who’s friend and who’s foe. She herself doesn’t do anything to understand people around her. On the other side Viat is calculating, observant, intelligent, mindful of her words and actions and does not get swayed by emotions. It’s just the type of personality I like.
There’s literally no reason why she should be trusting people so easily so why would it be a problem that Herna takes so long to decide who’s on her side or not. A crucial decision like that deserves to be brooded over, not decided hastily. Because she believed everyone around her so easily in her past life, she ended up getting betrayed and killed. So it makes sense that to avoid making that same mistake, she has to question the intentions of everyone around her. Especially the people who are acting nice to her for seemingly no reason. People should really stop judging Herna because she’s “stupid” or “naive”. Realistically thinking, why would Herna suddenly become a brazen girl just because she went back in time and has the advantage of knowing the future occurrences? Herna isn’t in a position where she could act like that so stop comparing her to Viat who actually can act like that. Plus, their education is different so it makes sense why Herna thought process isn’t as calculating as Viat’s. There’s just so many reason for why Herna shouldn’t be getting negative judgement for her actions or getting compared to Viat.

And as to Herna’s mistrust, it’s not exactly like you claim. Like I said, problem is not that Herna does not trust people, but that she doesn’t bother trying to find intentions behind people. Like that madam. Did Herna try to verify her intentions or prepare self in case there’s chance for Herna get blackmailed? No. She only tried to avoid her no matter what. Instead of trying to think how to sneak out or get some money for information guild to check out her background in case there’s chance that she’d blackmail Herna. Or in case she can be used as a pawn.
So it’s not problem of Herna’s education. The problem dhe doesn’t even try to learn anything new. She only relies on information she already had, which is also very unreliable considering her little knowledge. Neither she is trying to look for people who can be used. Even as a lackey to run errands for when Herna is locked up. It’s only her dumb luck that she managed to come across people willing to help.
She didn’t even try to test ML despite being suspicious of him and noticing his strange behavior. How are you gonna justify that? If you gonna say that Herna simply believes that she needs-no-man and can overthrow Viat all alone by her shunned and sheltered self, then how is it not nativity or stupidity? ?
