@marichii I’m not saying that the negative comments are not valid, what I’m saying is that for the readers to read the whole context that the author wants to convey. from what I’ve read, the duke left her because he went to war, and ofc he can’t bring his newborn child into war?? it’s not really intentional and the servants are the one who abused her and cut off their communication. they blocked the father and child’s communication. the duke has been sending letters to her and the nanny but IT WAS BLOCKED by the butler. it can be inferred since he asked about her birthday preparations and dresses right?? so it means he complied those things for her even tho he was away. he didn’t fully neglected her, it was the servants who made her feel neglected. small details are important to deduce what truly transpired.

Yes you have a point, negligence and abandonment are different..but if the duke went to war then that is unintentional to his side…he did not intentionally neglect his child, it’s just that the people whom the duke put his trust to take good care of his child are evil..

@ mdzsehuns the negative comments are reasonable. neglecting a child is still bad thing whether he tried to make up or not specially since she is still A CHILD, so if the FL was not remembering any of her past life and remains a child mentally, then that child will gonna suffer for very long time. And that idea alone is already frustrating. ???

the comments here are so negative,, have you read past chapter 6?? the duke might have left her but he didn’t abandoned her, it was all the servants greed and doing that the child was treated poorly because they cut off the communication between the nanny and the duke who is not in the duchy. he may have been neglectful but he’s slowly making putting efforts for their relationship as a father-child. i think he deserves a chance, after all he’s not like other manhwa father who really did abuse their children ?

…there’s no justification for his negligence and failure to act as a father to his child no matter how heartbroken he is. In fact, that heartbreaking event must be his driving force to NOT LEAVE HIS DAUGHTER AND ACTUALLY STAY BESIDE HER. sorry, I hate this man, no, actually all stories where their guardians who are supposed to be there for the child act all stupid and negligent.
