the Duke is such trash. I honestly don’t care how much of a doting father he becomes, he left a 6 year old child alone to be abused by his servants AND he didnt even name her. He can choke on rocks and drown.

Honestly, this may sound insensitive and all, but i wouldn’t mind not having a family if i could live in a mansion like that. You’d assume if she was really treated badly, her room would be dusty and uncleaned, not polished and fancy. I’m not hating or anything, but it would be really nice to have a manhwa with a female lead who doesn’t need the love of her negligent father.
If I was her and he treated me like that, my stubborn ass would hold a grudge and never talk to him again lol
Also, what’s the fl’s previous identity? Did she die as a child or is she a stereotypical adult who acts like a child? I hope she actually has the mind of a child because then that would be different from most novels/manhwas with the same plot.
Dude she’s just a child.. it’s better to live in that mansion that live in the street like a rat all your life…beside,who knows if the duke will suddenly change his heart just like other papa in other manhwa
I’ve read the beginning of this novel and y’all need to cut the dad some slack, the reason he doesn’t know what’s happening is because the servants have been sending him false letters about stories of them treating her like an angel and spoiling her rotten he’s been believing she’s living extremely well in his absence. He never intended to neglect her, he was heart broken from losing his wife and having to leave and he’s never been around her so he doesn’t know how to treat her
i understand that, but he still could have visited her once, at least established his existence rather than making her feel like she’s not loved. Even if its not intended, in some way, it’s still neglect. Being heartbroken doesn’t excuse anything, a lot of dads lose their wives yet continue to take care of their children. He literally made her live with the maids. No matter what happened, a father doesn’t do that. If he doesn’t know how to treat her, then he should learn and try his best, not ignore her like a coward. I may sound insensitive, or triggered over a manhwa, but i just can’t stand people like this (my dad is the same way) so it gets me angry. However, I will give him a bit of credit. Unlike most manhwa fathers, he doesn’t abuse his child.
Nope. I can 100% guarantee he did not do that because of his daughter. Like at all. It annoys me when fathers’ are like this in stories.. why? What’s the point of ignoring his daughter, the last link to the woman he loved? I mean it does happen at times in the real world but seriously? Not many fathers who lose their wives actually cherish their children born before the death of their wife and it’s getting really annoying.
