Not sure who Bibi is but I think I understand what happened with the old lady….it’s probably the same that happened with the original Abigail. Actually, it’s not so much that they are bad people, as that they are stressed and that causes them to act in certain ways that are hurtful and even destructive to their close ones.
Old Lady: Her husband dies, there’s an illegitimate son, there’s an issue with her young son having enough backing to take the throne and an heir would be good in case anything happens, such as a rebellion by the brother’s support base.
Abigail: She moved abroad to get married, far from family and everyone and everything she knew, there’s this stone-like husband that doesn’t even try to get to know her, and the pressure from her country to give birth and secure her position. There’s also the rumors. Lots of people are saying that her husband is still in love with his first wife and their child is super pretty and lives right there with them. Looking at the kid with such a mindset might make her want to bully and mistreat her. It’s vicious human nature. All of it.
