Okay so spoiler warning of Blanches future love life
Okay so the mirror may have a body of a grownup but in reality his mental age is close to the one of Blanche. So in reality he is like 12 years old but he changed so that he looked older so that people would respect him. So Abigail will introduce Blanche when he is in his original form as a 12 year old. They will grow close as best friends and so on.
I’m not sure but I also think that he will be released from the mirror, anyway Blanche will end up marrying him.

Blanche is literally a child she’s like 10 and in the original story she got married at 14!! And she didn’t even had the chance to choose her husband, so no Abigail is not selfish bc she wants Blanche to live like a child and then have the choice to choose a partner when she’ll be older.
