Sorry, but that riled-up mob is way too illogical and over-dramatical.
The queen made peace with the merfolk possible, she saved the king who would have died otherwise (!), she helped women in the country to get a better standing, the king has not become any eviler ever since, but the exact opposite… why would anyone want to punish her for all these positive changes?
Also – the king (Sable) is a f*cking coward. He could easily use his power to just tell everyone to shut up and stop disrespecting the crown by claiming he’s just a pawn of his wife – the insolence!
Also: since Raven still exists, he would become the ruler if Sable was enthroned, there would be no need for a regent.
