It’s definitely a good idea to spread knowledge about the mermaids’ culture prior to a diplomatic arrival. Karin is a really good example of how other people may react and it’s better to prevent fires than wait until they need to be put out.
I wouldnt be suprised if this readhet mermaid princess or something, who can change her gender, when she will do it, Karin will fall in love with him then and they become couple. If i recal Karin was supose to replace Abigail in original, but now Abigail is irreplacable so basicly everything related to them was separated and changed
