No one but the ducal family, the princess, and the FML know about the emperor’s wrong doings. As a daughter of a once ruined noble who’s reputation is already at a low, why do you think she could so easily refuse the emperor? He would literally just say she’s lying or accuse her of slander which would only make it easier for him to lock her up indefinitely.
And to the ducal family, the life of the FML is more important than honor which can be regained with time
