@Calico45 – I don’t think it was so much a lie as it was stated in the beginning that even the ML wasn’t aware that he was interested in men. Honestly, I don’t think he was interested in men per se but was more interested in the fact that the love interest in the novel reminded him of his ex-fiance. I have seen something like that in another manhua that it wasn’t necessarily that the character was gay but rather just obsessed with whomever he was close to. I think that’s the case with this story. Jeillan attached himself to the only person he thought cared about him. The only person who saw him.
@everyone else – Nelan is the original love interest. And from how he is acting in the few times that he is in this story, I feel that he might be suspicious of the FL. It won’t surprise me if he is aware that the story has changed. I never like stories that utilize this plot point because it is seldomly used correctly.
