Hasn’t she ever heard of the butterfly effect? According to the theory, if even a small change we’re to happen to the plot, it would trigger an even larger change in the future plot. The interference done by Veillyn to the plot we’re already pretty big so the overall impact on the plot should be if a massive scale. What I’m saying is that Veillyn should really pick one. She either take herself entirely out of Jellard’s life and get the plot back on track, or she stops trying to preserve the plot and continue doing what she’s doing to survive longer and live the rest of her life decently. The only logical choice would be to choose the second option, and by now it’s probably to late to do the first option anyways. So, hopefully Veillyn stops worrying about the plot and put her focus into taking care of herself and enjoying the remaining time she has left.
