Even if you wake up in a world that seems to be a game, but it still feels completely real to you with pain, hunger, thirst and everything – should you really believe whatever that “system” is telling you?
What if you are being lied to, and there is no “going back” to “your real world” in reality?
Why even comply with playing super-dangerous games with people’s hearts/affections, if you could also just try to live a quiet life in this world until it comes to a “natural” end?
Curiousity will kill the cat eventually. It is in one’s nature to be curious after all.
Let’s say that we did ignore the “system” and tried to live a quiet life until it becomes natural. Keyword: “try”. Nobody lasts that long without dying of curiousity about something especially a missing memory and not knowing who you were *before* you came to be in this world.
(I for one wouldn’t be able to live knowing I have a massive missing memory about myself. Because if I don’t know myself fully, then who will?)
Even if you did try, it’ll eventually become inevitable that you’ll fall for the “system’s” acts because its mere existence (as well as the phone) is proof that there is something more.
(Unless you have a very very firm will and self control)
