For those of you who think that slavery was limited to only one or two periods in history, let me tell you that slavery is an inhumane practice dating back thousands of years. Any ethnic group you can think of took part. The Romans, the Greeks, the Persians, The Egyptians, you name it! It is a real thing and even today, there is still rampant slavery going on behind the scenes. It’s just that it’s technically illegal.

as a biracial person, I don’t have much problem with the mentioning of slaves in manhwas. After all, slavery most likely happened a lot in the medieval times as well so I understand the realistic side of it.
However, I don’t mean to be a snowflake, but the way these authors go about it kinda bothers me.
Like every story, she’ll end up meeting the poor slave boy who ends up being a character, take him in and care for him, and then he’ll become the second male lead.
Sometimes it feels like a desperate attempt at the author trying to humanize the female lead and hail her as this kind, virtuous being.

omg i thought i was the only one getting these intrusive ads. Every single time I close them, they reappear. And they’re all very inappropriate and I hate being bombarded with a girls ass every time I click on a manhwa.
I’m starting to think that Harimanga is trash or at least becoming it. There’s no options to edit or delete, and I can’t even reply to anyone anymore. Literally the only reason I’m on here is because I like commenting on manhwas.

okay there REALLY needs to be a content warning at the beginning of every series planning on having some manner of slave trade in there. that’s just one of those things, man. esp if they’re about to pull some horseshit slavery apologist garbage
