me as a computer science student: even if I was there I wouldn’t bring that shit up .. like girl, that world doesn’t have transistors( the heart of the computer itself which is the most complicated invention of the whole world) instead of bringing up cellphone, I would bring up the idea of computation and programming in the low level of punch card(ironically most people don’t know but the first programmer was actually a women her name was Ada Lovelace and she was a noble women who did the basic job of computation by making a punch card system) and idea of using women as the computer(the computer was originally the name of a job( women who did very complicated calculations on the precise level) and instead of risky food I would have brought up junk food cause they are fast and they work well across all culture

Oh my, she is so stupid. What’s the point to talk about smartphone when you cannot show it? About the food, somehow I am questioning the logic of this novel. I am not talking about how the food is not suitable for this empire’s people, but about how she can actually make kimchi. I get the novel author wanted to show how stupid and inconsiderable that girl was, but seriously, how could she exactly she make them with western-like ingredients, in where thre is no napa cabbages, gochugaru, jeotgal? Or in this fantasic world of the novel, those ingredients are so easily obtainable?
