MY READING HISTORY
You don't have anything in histories

@AArtsy wow… just wow… I am in genuine awe at the logic and clear cut reasoning. It even overshadowed my awesome playlist.
That said, I agree. This seems to be designed to mess with readers heads, until the backstory is revealed, we’ll probably be foraging a new career as junior sleuths.

As I thought, shes had an abusive parent and without one at the moment.
Where is he now? In prison? Dead?
.
And the teenager, her friend, seemed to always be abused as well.
Who did he kill exactly? Was it her father?! His own father? Or some other abuser?
.
This ‘Isaac’ could be ‘Noah’ alright, but he could not be him all the same!
Since it is a ‘mystery’ genre, its bound to have many plot-twists and unexpected turn of events.
The title and how the first 3 chapters were ‘designed’ to tell the story made us readers believe that those two guys are the same people.
And there is a very strong suspicion that the killer is this guy who used to be the teenager!!
Therefore, it is highly possible for all of these suspicions to be false, since we readers are practically made to believe like that!
.
Story-wise, they could all be a product of the FL’s messed up psyche and traumatized mind.
Sure this ‘Isaac’ guy, wish I new the original name, is related to her past.
Yet, he could be anyone else beside the teenager she vaguely remembers.
She said she doesn’t have much of a memory of her past, right?
It means her case was quite serious and she were on strong medication for her to end up like this.
She could even have misunderstood that teenager ‘Noah’ in the first place as well.
She was already abused and highly traumatized as a result to begin with.
So she could have easily misunderstood the whole situation.
.
The detective said that the teenager was released 6 years ago, so he definitely was under 20 back then.
This means he did not spend too many years in prison. And thats only possible if his crime isn’t that serious, right?
And one of his conditions upon release was to not come into contact with her?
Thats strange.
It makes me think the whole issue was related to HER more than it actually was related to the teenager ‘Noah’ himself.
This makes the assumption of her being the center of all these ‘illusions’ even more plausible.
So did he kill her abusive father to protect her or something?
.
Whatever the case, this ‘serial killer’ incident could very well be totally unrelated to her and her past. But since she is a severe case of a PTSD patient, it is her who has made the whole thing up. Its the FL’s mind playing tricks on not only her but on all the readers as well.
Its all still an assumption though.
