I think iy was said earlier but dragons (in story) go through 2 separate growth cycles- where they have the opportunity to imprint 2 separate times. The 2nd growth cycle is where they experience the quickest growth in their human form- ie Ayrin’s dragon form is already growing. She needs to be fully imprinted and loved by her imprintee (her dad) in order to grow- which is why she is now going to most likely experience accelerated growth in her human form- but im guessing the delay also has to do with the fact that she was essentially in stasis and had to constantly be fed magic and divine relics during her 5 year nap. Thats probably why she hasn’t yet sprouted.
