Let’s try to list some of the things that can go wrong :
1 : Roman’s father, he’s still alive after all, if he sees that his son has a girlfriend and is happy while he lost his wife a few years after the birth of the said son…. who knows what he might try to do…
2 : rumours, they have been saying for a while that they need to be careful in order to keep their relationship a secret (and they kind of kissed on a balcony, it’s in plain sight, a member of the staff or someone might see them)
3 : the excessive clingyness, she’s not used to it, it’s obvious that it makes her uncomfortable at times
4 : unfortunately don’t love each other at the same level…. and they’re not on the same pace
I know he loves her but she’s still on her guard and not ready to really open her heart to him, meanwhile he wants to give her more than she is willing to or CAN receive, you can often she her trying to slow him down, bc herself isn’t ready, it’s all new to her
5 : family issues, her parents and her brother already had a hard time acknowledging Roman as her friend, just imagine as her boyfriend
6 : she doesn’t know what she wants and there is a risk that if hardships were to come, she would give up, she see this as a first experience and tries to make it work but she still doesn’t really believes it, even if she likes him (he already sees marriage and them growing old together yadi yadi yada, she also sees marriage and even a child but is too scared to try to see further, we all know that guy would love her even after his death but she doesn’t realize it yet)
