Serena the original and this korean girl became one when serena was dying in prison after they found out all her wrong doings. But the korean girl in serena’s body woke up in bed after a fall. So she regressed years back? If yes, why? The original serena did not even wished to reverse the time.
Anyways, I’ll keep reading. The story so far is good. Character wise, I will not judge the korean serena as mentally weak coz if she was then she could have killed herself earlier before her sister dies. She is mentally strong its kind of like fo me she loss her will to decide what and how she wants her life to be. Emotionally weak perhaps as she still willingly obey her adopted parents despite the on and off abuse. Guess maybe she was shown affection at times. Even abusive parents shows affection sometimes though rarely but that still gives hopes to someone who have a deep longing to be loved. Still, how could she not have found people willing to give her love? Haha.. Imma saying nonesense forgetting this is a story not a real life scenario. So back to reading. 😎
I can’t be the ONLY one that’s genuinely mad that she saw her sister die and still chose to kill herself??? I can’t imagine the amount of selfishness you’d need to see someone that wants to live die and believe you’re the victim somehow.
She was abused mentally and physically since she was a child so she doesn’t really know what else to do after she was kicked out of the house. Also, it’s not like she was taught to live independently, she was always told what to do and what not to do. So yes, she wasn’t mentally strong. In the novel it was explained clearer…usually manhwa adaptations dont really go into details.
The parents are dumb, if they dont care about their adopted child anymore, they should just return her to the orphanage instead of making her life miserable
but she’s not even their real daughter, why should she be the one obligated to take care of her sister? the parents are the one who birthed the sick child, they can take care of her themselves. If I was her, I would’ve already been gone. The mc probably didn’t leave because she felt bad when staring at her sick sister. I’m a cruel person so I might have just left either way, even if her life depended on me. Just because the other child was sick, it’s not fair for the mc to live a life fully of misery. She’s not connected to the child in any way, it’s alright to prioritize yourself and leave. For anyone going through a similar situation, even if they are your blood-related parents/siblings, you own your life. Do what you want. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
