She cracked a random “joke” and other nobles forcefully laughed cause this joke was cracked by someone superior then rest of the nobles in that hall (our fl). It was to show eiden that Selena have superior rank and that her orders are absolute and other nobles can’t go agains it , even if she orders her commoner servent to refuse other nobles orders, no one can touch eiden or harm him so that eiden can rest assure.
Well. I think she means that she’s on top of the nobles’s class so he doesn’t have to do what others order him to do .
and when she said something about the orange and they all started laughing it was like an example like even if she said something isn’t funny they will laugh
In the original Japanese there were not very funny pun about tangerine that I couldn’t even get where it comes from. Puns are popular type of jokes in Japan but it hurts my brain trying to understand this one “tangerine is not tangerine” or something like that, also possible that it’s connected to this Mia and her opinion but I’m probably digging to much onto this. I wanted to see how it will be translated but I guess I was expecting too much from teenmanhua… Anyway why she cracked such a joke was already explained in the comments above.
First thought red head would have a personality turn or something in that direction. Like even if she was really mean, she would be a true friend to FL, but it seems she is nothing like that
