She’s not stupid, she is acting accordingly to her reality and her situation. She’s a highborn woman, she’s not abusing her servants but that doesn’t mean she has to be their friend either.
I like the story so far, because it uses all the typical ingredients of victorian fantasy isekais with a little twist, like that book instead of a time-reset – and it has funny moments, which is always a good thing.
The female lead is certainly not a definite villain – yet. However, she’s already selfish and does not even realize how badly she treats others (like when she threatened the man at the library, saying she would kill him if he lied), or her arrogance and ignorance of others (the maid’s family is suffering, the servants fear her, but this is convenient to her), etc.
The one who’s absolute trash though is the male lead. Well, since this story is different from the usual ones I really hope she won’t pursue him any more, and he would just ignore her after breaking off the engagement… Well, let’s see…
She’s not horrible. She’s realistic. She acts the way she does because her behavior is normal via her upbringing. And she’s by no means stupid. She’s only just now believing in the book’s contents. The book being indestructible also helps drive the point home. She’s not going to instantly change her tune, that’s not realistic and also not possible, she didnt regress, she read about it. She needs time to alter her personality as she feels the need to.
She doesn’t seem all that bad for a noble girl anyway. She’s already acting more conscious of her actions and even acted more generous towards that maid who’s terrified of her. She likely has a cold and angry aura that intimidates others, and that will break down over time. I’m not saying she’s a good person, I’m just saying she’s not being anything less than what she should be at this time.
girl did nothing wrong tho?? what she did that is so despicable yet?? nothing….. shes acting like a noble girl, she even gave advice to the old man in the library and its not like shes purposely evil towards her maids, people misunderstood her in the first place 🙃

I think she has zero self awareness. The book wasn’t wrong when describing her character.

Why y’all say she’s stupid? She is realistic

Is this supposed to be refreshing? She so self centered and awful and we’re supposed to root for her? I hope she gets a really good redemption arc
