   Really had high hopes for this one, based off of how it started, but it quickly disappointed unfortunately. Never in my history, reading any series, have a rooted for a second male lead more, nor has there been a second ML more deserving of becoming first more than in the story. But unfortunately, the author, neither has imagination or sense to make the obviously correct choice, and instead defaults back to the typical narrative of having her remain with a jerk of a male lead that had disregarded her for years. Had to drop because of this.

   Why did they have to make Ricardo the male lead who never once tried to understand her properly and had his own opinions about her but when she starts keeping her distance from him and reveals her true self which is completely opposite of his thoughts, he started thinking of her as his fiancee suddenly ( such a trash )
   Crown prince loved her for really long and in every way……he should be the male lead

   This story started off so well but the ML and OG FL kept making everything super annoying😒 Not worth the read. The worst part is that they’re dragging a very flawed plot point forward with no sign of moving on

   Chapter 35 is even worse.
   The “original” female lead suddenly goes all bonkers and suspects her best friends who have helped her in every way, instead of her obviously evil “step-mother” who has treated her and her biological mother horribly.
   In most manhwas, the female lead will in the end fall in love with the man she was betrothed to once again, so it’s no surprise that it happens in chapter 34 here too.
   But the way this happened to come about was ridiculously forced; the story deteriorated for several chapters in advance.
   There was a tournament where the male lead jumped in and challenged the already exhausted winner (who all of a sudden confesses to have been interested in the female lead forever just in order to make the male lead jealous and realize his feelings) without having to go through any preliminary rounds like everyone else, but nobody protests.
   There was an event for the orphanage where male lead and female lead were forced to work as a team after a little girl was lured away by a “mysterious” floating light from a lively marketplace far, far, faaaar away into the woods…
   And then the female lead visited a night/black market, but when she exited a shop, the streets were suddenly all empty and quiet, she couldn’t find her way back, but the male lead still found her just minutes before they got attacked (actually, the male lead was the target, but then he insists that the assassin was aiming for the female lead?)…
   The story was still somehow funny when the magical book prophecized all sorts of hilariously overexaggerated horror endings, but now that the original female lead has gone insane and acts against all logic like the book once said, this whole manhwa has turned into garbage.
   Pity because the art is still very nice, the toned lineart makes it look like a cartoon at times, and there’s certainly a lot of admirable work behind it.
   The story however…. Maybe the publisher didn’t want to pay the author anymore and outsourced the storywriting to an AI or something?

   First serious review EVER…but if you’re okay with all of the following then you should read it, i mean the art is good and overall the plot is mid.

   At first i liked the idea of this. The art was good and sure it was your typical “i dont want to die, so i’ll be nice and change my ending” type of story. But at the same time it was different, i mean (spoilers) she had a book that “told” her ending and it wouldn’t change despite how much she had “changed” for the better and i thought it was interesting. HOWEVER…this…was disapointing. I saw it coming but it still just…UGH. Never in my life have i rooted so hard for the second ML, let alone the CP, but in this case he was literally PERFECT. Ricardo(ML) is just trash, he only liked her when she started distancing herself from him and did the opposite of what he had heard/thought of her (which is pretty common for ML’s but usually the 2MLs are worse or just not fitting soo) Meanwhile CP loved her since the beginning, regardless of her personality or actions, AND STILL ROOTED FOR HER HAPPINESS, whether it was with him or with Ricardo(ML). Like???? And if we go about the book, choosing the CP would’ve been a much safer(and better) choice then choosing Ricardo, the main cause of her problems/death in the book. I mean she wanted to live comfortably and not die, CP checked those boxes. All in all….depsite knowing she’d choose Ricardo in the end, im still upset because i thought she’d be different since she WAS distancing herself and she WAS considering the CP but all it took was a smile from Ricardo and she had fallen 🧍‍♀️ So yeahh im dropping it. 🥸

   Hmmm i thought it was good, but reading until ch 29th I started to chsnge my mind. The way the story unfolded is somewhat disappointing. Hopefully it’s not true. Hopefully the ending won’t be disappointing. Like hurting someone who’s genuinely love the FL only to go back to a trash
